Urban Classic Design – Get The Look!

We are finally getting settled into our new home! We still have a few boxes left to unpack, but most of our stuff is unpacked and put away, and we’re starting to feel like this is really our house now!

And of course, now my head is totally swimming with all the possible projects for this new space! I’m really excited to finally be able to put together an entire room with an actual style and furniture that actually coordinates! Not that I don’t love our current mismatched couch and chairs and bookshelves that we’ve collected over the years, but I really love the idea of a room where all of the pieces “work” together!

Enter all of this gorgeous urban classic furniture from Sauder! I’m not really a designer, nor do I know anything about style, but I do know what I love, and that is simple designs, bare wood, and classic lines, so these pieces are perfect! The look is slightly industrial, but it’s still clean and simple and elegant, plus it’s all budget friendly, which is perfect because owning a home is expensive!!!

Even filled with all of our furniture, the new house still feels totally empty in some rooms. Our living room is the worst culprit, and since it’s the first room you see when you walk into the house, it’s the first room I plan to tackle. Here’s what the room looked like before we moved our furniture in.

For now the couch is in the middle of the room facing the faux fireplace, and I’m thinking that this sofa table would be perfect right behind the couch!

It would give us a little bit more storage in the living room and cover up the plain back of the couch. Plus it would be a great place to drop keys, wallets, purses, mail, etc. on the way in the house which would make the entryway so much more functional. I’m thinking we can add a few wicker baskets on the bottom shelves to hold hats, scarves, and gloves in the winter!

Not to mention, all the natural wood in these urban classic pieces would go great with the original wood accents in the house!

And the best part is, Sauder will ship directly to my front door, and all of their furniture is ready to assemble! Quick, easy, budget friendly, and GORGEOUS!

Disclosure: I received compensation from Sauder and TapInfluence in exchange for my honest discussion of their products. But the Sauder products are environmentally friendly, easy to assemble, and totally gorgeous, and all opinions in this post are 100% my own. I would never write a post about something I didn’t think was useful or interesting for you guys, and Practically Functional will only publish sponsored posts for companies or products I love and believe in! 🙂
