Window Cleaning The Easy Way!

Confession time: My windows are DISGUSTING! Like, I’m a little embarrassed to show you these pictures… I mean, I knew our windows were dirty, but I didn’t realize just HOW dirty until they were clean!

I got a can of Fish Foam window cleaner while I was at SNAP, and this weekend I finally decided to tackle our kitchen windows. And can I just say HOLY COW, this stuff is AMAZING!!! It works so well I do a double take every time I walk into our kitchen to make sure the windows are still closed!

And, yes, the window is still there in the second picture! Promise!

I am just loving how clean these windows are, especially now that I have those adorable painted flower pots in them. I can actually see the colors of the pots and plants through the glass now!

Fish Foam window cleaner is a professional grade, foaming window cleaner. It foams when you spray it on, so it doesn’t drip and make a huge mess everywhere. Our windows fold out flat so you can clean the outside of them, but it was awesome to be able to stand them back up vertically, spray more cleaner on the inside, and have it not drip down!

And it’s so easy to use! Just spray it on, and then wipe it off! You don’t need to scrub, you don’t need to use newspaper or anything crazy (a paper towel works just fine and doesn’t leave streaks or lint!) and you don’t need to wipe it down thirty times after it’s dry to get rid of any streaks! It took me about five minutes to clean an entire window pane, inside and out, and they’re perfect now!

I had a lot of trouble taking pictures of our windows (dang reflective surfaces!), but even with the iffy pictures, you can still see just how clean this window is! Can you guess which of the four panes I cleaned already? Seriously, this stuff blows me away!

Not only are the windows completely streak-free, but Fish Foam even got off that nasty oily residue that seems permanently attached to most of our windows! You know the oil that’s left on glass or mirrors from fingerprints, doggy nose prints, etc.? Well even that stuff is gone! Our windows are 100% glass now; no dust, no oil, no water spots, no streaks, no ick, no nothing!

JM freaked out a bit when he noticed the windows. “That’s ridiculous, it looks like there’s no window there! I’ve never seen a window that clean that hadn’t just been professionally cleaned!” Job well done, I say! 🙂

It seems sorta silly to say, but I really love being able to see out of our windows! I mean, that’s the point of them, right?!

If you want to be able to see out of your own windows, you can buy Fish Foam on their website, or on Amazon.

Disclosure: I received compensation from Fish Foam in exchange for my honest review of their product. But, seriously, I cannot say enough good things about their window cleaner and all opinions are 100% my own. I would never write a post about something I didn’t think was useful or interesting for you guys, and Practically Functional will only publish sponsored posts for companies or products I believe in! 🙂

Cool – we’ve never heard of this product before but it is definitely on our radar now. Thanks for sharing the pictures and reveiw on your blog.

Wow! That is great! I’ve never heard of that stuff. Do you suppose it’s good for windshields too? Now there is a dirty problem that needs a sparkling solution. Lemme know if it says anything about car windows – like does it ruin the coatings or anything. Meantime I hope I win the raffle but otherwise I am ordering it. My windows are hideous.

It definitely works on windshields, sunroofs, and car mirrors without hurting anything! We don’t have the van anymore, or I definitely would have used it on that; those windows were hideous! Their site says it’s good for:
Windows, including stained glass & double hung windows
      Mirrors
Windshields, windows & sunroofs on all types of cars
      Cubicle glass panels and partitions
      Exterior surfaces of appliances
      Countertops
      Fixtures
      And more!

Your windows look amazing!! I just cleaned all our windows for my daughters 16th birthday party the old fashioned way with Windex. I really could have used this product. Thanks for the giveaway!!

Looks like a great product! We have a hard time keeping our windows clean with the home construction nearby! It’s so nice to have windows that sparkle!

This truly looks amazing. My windows are so incredibly bad that I’m wondering if Fish Foam will even work! They are the original windows to our 1960’s house. I have to say I’m quite jealous of your windows that tip in. You are a lucky girl!

Oh it will Ann! Like I said, it’s hard to take pictures of windows, and you can sorta see how dirty these were before, but in reality they were like ten times worse, so I’m sure yours can’t be that bad!

The windows look great! Love that your windows fold in for cleaning, isn’t that so helpful? Thanks for sharing your find!

That is pretty crazy amazing – our 1950s house has old windows that could absolutely use a fish foam clean 🙂
