Fall is just around the corner, and I can’t wait; I love the cool weather, boots, sweaters, and pumpkin spice everything! I decided AJ needed to help us celebrate the changing season, so I made this “Cutest Pumpkin In The Patch” onesie for her. They’re super simple to make, or you can find them for sale in my shop if you don’t want to make one yourself!
Isn’t that onesie adorable?! The baby’s pretty cute too, if I do say so myself. 😛

Instructions
The SVG cut file for these Cutest Pumpkin In The Patch graphics is in my shop if you want to use it!
I shared a detailed, step by step tutorial on how to use heat transfer vinyl earlier, so if you need a refresher on how to use HTV to make a onesie, check that post out. But here are the basics.
Start by creating your design in the Silhouette Studio software. You can design it however you want, but if you want to put a word inside a graphic like I did for the pumpkin, here’s a quick run-down on how to do that.
Start with your text and your graphic, sized however big you want them. Select your text and open the Offset window. Choose “Offset” and then modify the Distance number to change how thick or thin your offset is. Once you’re happy with how it looks, click Apply.
Leaving the original text where it is, grab just the offset outline and drag it up on top of your graphic, positioning it where you want it.
With the outline still selected, hold down the Shift key and click on the graphic to select both items. Then open the Modify window and click Subtract. This will “subtract” the text from the graphic below it.
Then drag the original text up into the graphic and center it inside the “holes” left by the offset, and you’re done!
All you need to do is add the words “Cutest” and “in the patch!” above and below your design and you’re finished.
If you’re using multiple colors or materials for your onesie, separate out your design so that you can cut each color individually, and remember to mirror your images and text before you cut!
Once your design is cut, weed out the extra vinyl, then position the design on the onesie and press it. If you’re using a heat press, follow the directions that came with the vinyl to figure out the temperature and time required to adhere the vinyl. If you’re using an iron, press firmly for 45-60 seconds with the iron on the Cotton setting.
Once the vinyl is stuck to the onesie, you’re done!

While your onesie turned out adorable, I do agree that the little babe is the cutest part of this whole post. 😉 That glitter HTV is just so perfect too! I have another little one due in October and I was thinking about making a similar onesie for him to rock for pumpkin season….thanks for even more inspiration!
