Family Reunion Handprint Crafts

This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Wet Ones® Hand Wipes. The opinions and text are all mine.

We just got back from our family reunion last week, and it was so much fun. This year AJ was with us, so she got to meet a bunch of her extended family for the first time! We’ve been doing this family reunion every other year for more than 20 years, and it’s always such a blast to spend three days with family, swimming in the hotel pool, playing in the park, and just generally hanging out together. My parents’ generation got to watch my cousins and I grow up together over the years, and now my cousins and I get to watch our own kids playing together!

This year my aunt set up a fun project for us; she is an amazing quilter and decided to have everyone put a handprint on a quilt square, and then she would put them all together into a huge quilt! The quilt isn’t finished yet, because obviously it will take some time to put together. But we got all of our handprint squares completed and I can’t wait to see the finished quilt!

Everyone makes a square for a handprint quilt; great idea for a family reunion handprint craft!

Handprint crafts are always a fun activity, especially for the kids because it can get kinda messy. Fortunately I realized that Wet Ones® Hand Wipes would be perfect for cleaning up after the messy handprint fun! So I stopped by Walmart on our way to the family reunion and picked up a package.

If you don’t have a quilter in the family, you can still do fun handprint crafts at your family reunion. Get a large poster and have everyone sign their name with their handprint, or put handprints onto t-shirts or tea towels. The possibilities are endless!

We set up a long table at the reunion for the handprint crafts. There were a few different colors of acrylic paint on paper plates, blank cotton quilt squares, and some puffy paints for adding decorations to the quilt squares.

The Wet Ones® Hand Wipes were perfect for cleaning up our hands after putting our handprint on the quilt squares; the paint came right off and it was much more convenient than having to make our way to the restrooms with paint dripping from our hands. 🙂

Once our hands were clean we sat down at the end of the table with our quilt square and some puffy paint and added decorations.

Then we set our squares aside to dry.

I was so glad we had Wet Ones® Hand Wipes with us; it made clean-up a breeze, plus the antibacterial wipes kill 99.99% of germs, so we knew our hands were clean and we were ready for dinner. The wipes are so handy for whatever little messes life throws at us, and you know with a ton of kids around you are always going to find a way to put them to use!

What are your plans for summer vacation? Do you have any awesome activities planned that you might want to clean up with Wet Ones® Hand Wipes this summer?
