I like these fruity sparkling floats a lot more than traditional floats; the crisp, clean taste of 7UP pairs perfectly with the rainbow sherbet and makes it the ultimate refreshing summer treat! They’ll be a huge hit with kids and adults alike, plus they’re super easy to make!

AJ and I made a quick trip to Walmart to pick up everything we needed for our backyard BBQ. For the sparkling rainbow sherbet floats, all you need is 7UP and rainbow sherbet! We also got hamburger buns so JM could grill up some burgers and some fruit for AJ.

She’s such a happy baby! And she’s young enough that running errands with momma is still a fun outing. 🙂

That evening we all went outside to spend some time in the backyard while JM grilled. I did a little gardening and AJ kept Fawkes entertained.

The sparkling rainbow floats are so quick and easy to prepare, I wanted to wait until dinner was ready so the sherbet didn’t melt. Just add a scoop or two of rainbow sherbet in a tall glass, then fill with 7UP. 7UP is perfect for these floats because it’s so versatile; it’s delicious by itself, but the lemon-lime taste also goes perfectly with rainbow sherbet!

Add a spoon or a straw, and they’re ready to go!

When you drink floats do you drink them quickly and then eat the ice cream that’s leftover at the bottom of the cup, or do you mix it all up together and let the ice cream melt into the drink? I prefer to drink it quickly and eat the sherbet separately but JM mixes it all up.

These sparkling rainbow sherbet floats were the perfect addition to our little backyard BBQ, but they’re great for large parties too because they’re so easy to make! And it’s so easy to make a quick trip to Walmart to grab 7UP, rainbow sherbet, and anything else you need.
